My wife and I spent about an hour at Pickerington Ponds Metro Park southeast 
of Columbus on Saturday afternoon. We stopped in at the two ponds east of 
Bowen Road and saw the following species:
Great Blue Heron
Canada Goose
Black Duck
Gadwall
Mallard
Pintail
American Wigeon
Wood Duck
Northern Shoveler
Green-Winged Teal
Redhead
Ring-Necked Duck
Hooded Merganser
Unidentified buteo in the distance
Northern Harriers (2)
Ring-Necked Pheasant (heard only)
American Coot
Killdeer
Mourning Dove
Rock Dove
Downy Woodpecker
Carolina Chickadee
W-B Nuthatch
Mockingbird
American Crow
Cardinal
Chipping Sparrow
Field Sparrow
Swamp Sparrow
Song Sparrow
Red-winged Blackbird
European Starling
House Sparrow
The sparrows and waterfowl were abundant and active.
