I birded at Conneaut harbor yesterday 10/7 from 7:40 AM till 6:10 PM.  The highlight was a CATTLE EGRET that was hanging around the boat launch area in the late afternoon.  It was last seen flying west.  This is my first cattle egret at Conneaut in 23 years of birding there.  Other birds seen yesterday: 3 Am. wigeon, 9 blue-winged teal, 11 n. pintails, black-crowned night-heron, 15 turkey vultures, 2 bald eagles, Cooper's hawk, peregrine falcon (maybe 2), 2 Am. coots, 3 semipalmated plovers, 6 killdeer, 4 sanderlings, semipalmated sandpiper, dunlin, lesser black-backed gull, and belted kingfisher.  Craig Holt, Lowellville
