The bird is being observed today. Check Jackie's webpage at:

https://www.facebook.com/jackie.gallowayfinger?fref=nf

They just posted some new photos including a Cooper's hawk which they says
the kingbird was chasing...

Ferry Schedule for Saturday and Sunday (weather permitting)
Leaves Marblehead at 8 AM, 9 AM, 12 PM. 4 PM. and 5 PM
Leaves Kelleys at 8:30 AM, 9:30 AM, 12:30 PM, 4:30 PM, and 5:30 PM

$20 round trip per person ($16.50 fpor seniors)
$32 round trip for car/truck

It is less than a mile to the kingbird site from the ferry. Once off the
ferry go west (left) along Lakeshore Drive to the first intersection
(Addison) which maybe 0.2 of a mile. Turn right here and go to the end
which is Woodford Road and is about a quarter mile, turn right here, go to
brick, brown barn on right which maybe a third of a mile. This Finger's
barn and the bird is usually observed in the pasture to the east but is
sometimes on the west side and behind it.

There are very limited services on the island. The Village Pump should be
open at noon and the Island Market from 8-5 but that is it for food. There
is gas at the marina but it is still $4 plus per gallon. No lodging
available at this time so don't get stuck unless you make friends with an
islander... Restrooms are limited as well. The ones at the Pump and town
hall/police station should be open. There is one at the state park beach
which is open but primitive (clean) and on the opposite side of the
island. There are lots of trees...

Good luck! Take lots of photos and video. Need good video and/or tape of
bird's call...

I am going to try to put a pin in a map on eBird which may also help with
directions.

Tom
