My kids and I just had two common ravens fly over our farm. The birds were both calling the species' well-known croaking rattle. This is our third overall record in the past decade for this species here on our farm, which is 17 mi northeast of Marietta in Washington Co, OH.

We are about 22 mi as the raven flies from the probable CORA nest near New Matamoras reported a few years ago.
