Thanks to Ed Roush for reporting the migrating shorebirds on the Cowan Lake spillway. This afternoon the following were present:

4 Spotted Sandpipers
1 Solitary Sandpiper
5 Killdeer
c. 25 Mallards- many of them chicks

Today the spillway has nearly perfect shorebird habitat. It is worth checking if you are in Wilmington.
