The red-throated loon was still at Hoover Reservoir this morning, swimming just north of the
dam. Also present were ring-billed and Bonaparte's gulls, mallards, ruddy ducks, hooded
mergansers, a horned grebe, and a female belted kingfisher. At one point, I was able to see
the red-throated loon, a hooded merganser, and the horned grebe all in my scope at the
same time. This Thanksgiving, I get to be thankful for a life bird!
