Bird movement was a bit slow today probably due to the high winds and
occasional snow showers.  Of note was a single American coot that was
sitting on the lake.  I rarely get coots out here along the open lake and a
winter record is extremely rare.  It appears that this bird may have moved
on the same winds that brought all of the pintail earlier this week.
