I stopped briefly at Lorain Harbor yesterday evening. In the small boat
harbor there was a single lesser scaup. I walked to the end of the pier
adjacent to the impoundment hoping for a good gull or jaeger. I didn't get
either, but there was a single RED PHALAROPE south of the outer breakwall.
There were a few gulls in the harbor, but all I saw were herring,
ring-billed, and a single great black-backed. No other shorebirds.
