My son wanted to do some hiking in Ashtabula County and take advantage of
the nice weather. I had a chance to check Conneaut and Ashtabula counties.
Conneaut was slow with a small number of ring-billed and Bonaparte's gulls.
Only birds of note were a killdeer and a lesser black-backed gull. Conneaut
had a decent number of ring-billed gulls with little else. There was a
single 2nd cycle Franklin's Gull amongst the ring-bills. At the North
Kingsville Sand Barrens there was a savannah sparrow.
