There was an earlier post about the ospreys and bald eagles sparring at sandy ridge yesterday. I watched the battle as well at about 530 or so. It was a spectacular scene. The osprey was the aggressor and the bald eagle was rather submissive. The air show may be going on in Cleveland, but these raptors put on their own air show yesterday. Also, as I was leaving, there was a very enjoyable chorus of Great Horned Owls. There is no way to know how many were calling, but just from the different directions of the calls, I could tell that there were at least 6.
