After being without all winter, we have a visiting Red-breasted Nuthatch. This is the second day it has been here feeding from the suet feeder.
Also, there is an active Pileated Woodpecker nest in a huge dead tree at Cricket Holler Scout Camp (same tree as last year's nest -- newly made hole). We have a good view of it from our backyard. The pair have been alternating duties on the eggs about 12-14 days now. The female comes in to our suet feeder but the male prefers the peanut feeder.
