Hey all -

While it is the unexpected rarity that brings the
thrill to birding, I also look forward to its amazing
predictability. The usual April migrants were in
their usual haunts at West Creek this afternoon -
Hermit Thrushes in the areas of fallen logs on the
ridgetops, Fox Sparrows in the leaf litter bordering
the wet meadow, and Savannahs and Vespers on the old
landfill. Highlights:

Yellow-bellied Sapsucker 6
Eastern Phoebe 2
N. Rough-winged Swallow 1
Brown Creeper 3
Golden-crowned Kinglet 6
Ruby-crowned Kinglet 3
Hermit Thrush 8
Eastern Towhee 1
Vesper Sparrow 1
Savannah Sparrow 8
Fox Sparrow 18
Swamp Sparrow 1

Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
