Please don't do that. I'm sure the bird will be fine. Loons are not endangered and introducing a few fish into a big pond will not help it anyways. Sorry to be blunt, but trying to feed a wild animal to save it from nature and possible death doesn't help the species. Maybe I am missing the point of the listserv, but I think doing what is best for the species and ecosystem should be the number one priority, even f that means doing nothing.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Avon Lake loon is still there:(

I saw the loon still on the pond this morning.
The two times I drove by it must have been diving.
I am tempted to buy some shiners and dump them in the pond so it has
food.
