Since August I have been reporting a couple of mute swans among
other species at a pond along Galloway Rd. One of those 2 Mute swans may
be a hybrid version-it has a long patch of black on its back. Does anyone
here in this forum know of any hybrids with this species or is it just a
possible variant or subspecies ? Today at the same pond, I observed the
usual Canadian geese, mallards, and a pair of Ameican black ducks .
