The Mahoning R. east of Youngstown is running a little high and murky now, so fewer waterfowl are being seen. Yesterday along the river corridor were Am. black ducks, c. goldeneyes, hooded mergansers, pied-billed grebe, a pair of red-tailed hawks, Am. tree sparrows, and dark-eyed juncos. Craig Holt, Lowellville
