Greetings birders -
A truly stunning sight this late afternoon (4:45 pm): 10 brilliant white Tundra Swans cruising in a perfect line heading ESE, over Sleepy Hollow Golf Course (just south of town of Brecksville, on Route 21). From this high vista, the sooty, charcoal gray northern clouds provided a breathtaking background for these glowing white beauties; while the broken sunlight illuminated the golden and vermilion trees in the foreground.
It was also freezing. Strong WNW wind. Perfect first-of-the-year Tundra Swan weather. Expect many more soon!
best of birding -
Jen
