As of 5 pm this evening, all 8 Avocets are still present at the beach at Buck
Creek State Park!!! These are stunning birds,in what looks like complete
breeding plumage!! At 6 pm they started moving southward on the beach, and
were being mobbed by a few Ring Billed Gulls. Also seen:
1 Sanderling
4 Caspian Terns
5 Foresters Terns
Thanks to Bill and Doreen for posting these beautiful birds!!!
Good luck birding!!
