Hello All... Just to let you know that the Little Blue Heron (a juvenile bird) was still in about the same location as was posted yesterday by a birder from MA (also see a picture). This location is just N and a bit W of the Sunbury Road bridge, known locally as the "upper" bridge. Park at the Baldridge boat launch parking lot (on the SW side of the bridge), then walk E along the main roadway (watch for heavy traffic at times), toward the bridge. There are several open spaces along the N side of the road where you can see/scan to the North, along the exposed edges of the water. The bird was foraging here, just W of a treed island located just W of the bridge. To see the bi-colored bill and greenish leg color of this all-white bird, a scope will be needed from the roadway. Closer looks with 'binoculars only' could be had by scrambling down the rocks near the bridge and then walking out onto the flats area. This bird could also be seen via a scope (a very
long distance) from the Oxbox Road boat launch area to the North (also check here and/or at the N end of the reservoir, if you don't find it near the bridge). Best of luck in finding this pretty rare Central Ohio bird species!

Good birding!
