Wow, what a way to get a life bird. Driving into work I had a little time so I went down Phelps Rd, off of Treaty Line Rd. Just off the road in a flooded field were/are 8 American Golden Plovers. I got a few "yep that's what it is" shots, and will post later. They were in various plumages with at least on male in near breading plumage.
Wish I could have stayed longer. It looked as if they were going to get closer. That makes my night though :-D.
