Went searching for some strange hissing noises behind our house three nights ago and found a young Barred owl.  It's almost the size of an adult but with more creamy colored feathers. It's quite tame.  One of the parents is frequently with it too. Last week we found the adult perched on a branch just a foot above the creek obviously fishing.
