We arrived at 7am and departed at 5pm. There was constant mild to moderate rain with a moderate wind from the East. Bird activity was brisk until about 10am and very slow after 11am. A Marbled Godwit was present when we arrived. It and a group of Black-bellied Plovers departed quickly when an immature Bald Eagle flew over. Those of you familiar with Marblehead may have been confused by Jim's
directions. The original Galley Restaurant (a diner on the north side of the road
just before reaching the main downtown area) has been torn down. It has
re-opened a little further down the road, inside the old school house building.
