Swung by LaDue on the way home from work today, 4/8, to check out waterfowl observable without
a scope:
~5 loons, 1 horned grebe in transitional plumage, ~10 pied-bill grebes, a few scaups, dozens of
buffleheads putting on quite a show, a couple of red-breasted mergansers, ~100 coots. But the
coolest thing was hearing the courtship calls of ~20 red heads. I'm diggin' it!
