And in my experience at the Bluffs, there is no need to play calls -- they are easy to see -- just need to be patience for a bit.

Subject: [Ohio-birds] Lake Erie Bluffs " Chat "
I spent a couple hours at Lake Erie Bluffs Park this morning . The Yellow-breasted Chats were very active and easily seen. There were at least four birds in the area.
I got several photos of the birds and when I got home and checked them. One of the birds had fine dried grass in its mouth, which would suggest nest lining.
In my experience Chats don't respond readily to a recording of their song. So please don't stress the birds with your iPhone.
