Unfortunately it turned out to be a crappy day with rain or drizzle the whole time I was there, so birding was limited. The water level is finally being let down there, and mudflats are beginning to appear at the north end near Pancoastburg. We have been primarily looking for waterfowl.  The waters are rising
quickly, and the waterfowl is arriving.

North Park on Old Springfield Rd.:

Wood ducks
Canada geese
Northern harrier
Red-tailed hawk
Bonaparte's gulls
Lesser scaup
Great blue heron
Mallards
Ruddy ducks
Tree swallows
Cedar waxwings
Killdeer
Blue-winged teal

Main Park:

Green-winged teal
Black duck
Ruddy ducks
Lesser scaup
Canvasback
Hooded merganser
Coot
Blue-winged teal
