Hi,
Found a male Hoary Redpoll at The Holden Arboretum in Kirtland this
afternoon about 3:30 pm. The bird was found with Common Redpolls at
Buckeye Bud's Birdseed Buffet, near Buttonbush Bog and other Buckeye Bud
structures. The bird was obviously lighter than the Common Redpolls and I
was able to see, unstreaked, snow white undertail coverts when it was up in
a tree. When it visited a thistle feeder I saw both the short bill and
snow white, unstreaked uppertail coverts.
The bird came to the feeders as a part of a shift and remained in the area
for about 20 minutes
