At 11:25 am, while traveling north on I-71 just south of the Franklin
County landfill, I observed a large falcon that I believe was a Prairie
Falcon. I observed it for ~10 seconds as it flew across an agricultural
field to the SE of I-71. I was the passenger, but did not have binoculars.
I couldn't see any "field marks," but the size, shape, and erratic flight
style all pointed to Prairie Falcon. The bird was significantly larger than
a kestrel or Merlin, but slender and floppy compared to a peregrine. I have
a lot of experience with Prairie Falcon and this bird struck me with 100%
PRFA vibes. I report it as probable because of the nature of the
observation, which leaves much to be desired.

I'd be driving nearby side roads now if it weren't Thanksgiving or I didn't
