Thanks to all who replied. You guys are amazing!!!
Many thought it might have been a golden-crowned kinglet, but it was much
bigger than that. And after a great note from Tim Taylor at Darby Creek
Parks, I'm pretty sure it was a Savannah Sparrow. I had seen them before,
but never one with such pretty colors.
Thanks again to all who took the time to help a novice.
And, by the way, if you haven't been to Darby Creek recently, I encourage
you to see the new Greenway Trails. They are only about one-quarter
finished, but you can see the great work they are doing out there, and I can
only imagine how nice it is going to be come this spring.
