Well, except for cutting my trip in half due to rain, and loosing a pair of bins to the Scioto River(next time I am storing EVERYTHING in the dry well when going over a rapid. :-D)...by and large it was a great day birding and boating along the Scioto River. I went from CR 265 (Pfeiffer Station) to La Rue Mt. Victory Rd (La Rue)and all went well till the last mile. Lots of flycatchers, lots of Solitary Sandpipers, great views of kingfishers, GBHs, and other river birds...Only bird I missed is a Green Heron, but usually they are more upstream from where I was. I put everything on eBird The report of everything is below.

Incidentally, a few months ago, I did a series of videos on the basics of using eBird for the Birding Ohio Facebook page. there are a couple of minor errors, that are noted in the videos, but if you are curious about eBird and want to learn how to both post your sightings and to mine the data for trip planning, then head on over to YouTube and check them out.
