Late this afternoon Lenna Mae and I decided to check out Cowan Lake where Sandhill Cranes had been photographed yesterday. We neither saw nor heard any Sandhills but we did see an
adult Bald Eagle fly along the lake, a Great Egret, two Great Blue Heron, a Kingfisher (heard) and many Ring-billed Gulls. The Eagle was very close and well worth the short drive.

Shivering Day Cheers,
Larry Gara
