Hello Ohio Birders,

Around 10 am today I saw a male bobolink in flight display on the Waterman Farm, OSU west campus (northwest corner of Kenny & Lane). If you go looking, there are parking prohibitions along the dirt road leading out from the Bee Lab to the turf plots and woodlot (where I saw the bird), and parking without a permit is not allowed anywhere on campus. The enforcers have become especially zealous of late and "live parking" or standing by your car and offering to move it does not guarantee avoiding a citation.

(No, I did not get a ticket this morning, as I do have a permit.)

Happy birding,

Dave Horn
Columbus
