Today I checked out Pickerington Ponds. At the Wood Duck area, there were @ least 10 Sandhill Cranes. Across the street from the entrance to Wood Duck, WAY back in a field in a body of water. At least 1 birder beside my self saw a Trumpeter Swan. A scope is a must to look for it. We did see a black bill, and it was MUCH bigger than any of the other species found in Ohio.
