For our last banding date of the year we were treated to several nice
observations in the midst of a pretty slow day. We had four owl species! 2
Saw whets, a Screech, Great-horned, and Short-eared. As we were leaving a
group of 300 Bonaparte's gulls also flew over. If anyone is interested in
the Carey Christmas count, we will conduct that on January 1st.
