Finally, after  weeks of checking Evergreen Hill Cemetery for ww
crossbills, I saw
two males, methodically picking away at the cones on a large Norway
Spruce at 2:30.

Jim Eden, from the Chagrin Falls PD stopped to see what had me riveted
to the spot.
He was able to get a good look at them too, and I can't imagine a
better introduction
to the joys of birding.

The cemetery is on Franklin, just outside of Chagrin Falls. It is
loaded with big evergreens
with lots and lots of  pine cones.
