Late in the afternoon I stopped at LaDue Reservoir. The composition of
ducks has changed a bit,
with the addition of ruddy ducks, scaups, and american wigeons. The
long tailed duck
is still near the shore line.
Got home, browsed my power line traversed fields, and disturbed a
beautiful, male
northern harrier. Slowly circled over the fields, only a few feet over
the vegetation, and then
gradually circled on up and away, briefly harassed by the resident
cooper's.
