Trumbull County is south of Ashtabula County in NE Ohio. My property includes 2 acres of an old Christmas Tree farm with lots of spruce and a large white pine surrounding the house. Pine Warblers have nested in the pine woods. April is the usual date when they arrive- April 5th 2011, the 6th 2010, 12th 2008 and 3rd in 2006.
This year Pine warblers were singing March 17th - 2012.
However other birds like Tree Swallows come - March 14th 2012, 18th 2011, 19th 2010- fairly close dates.
And the local Red-tailed Hawk was just 1 day early to be on eggs over last year which was March 15th.
I am not concluding anything just an observation.
