Again, I recommend the new photo galleries from Canadian birders at
http://birding.aba.org/message.php?mesid=1319832&MLID=SHO&MLNM=Shorebirds .
These birds, some still in worn alternate plumage, but most showing a
bit or a lot of basic plumage, were photographed at close range recently
in Canada. We will be seeing these birds about now in Ohio on their
journeys south; our numbers will not match the Canadian ones, as Ohio
spots are no longer large or clean or frequent enough to support the
migration. Bon voyage to them!
