Sandy Ridge was alive with Swallows this afternoon.
In addition to the scores of Tree Swallows, there were No. Rough Wing,
Barn, Purple Martins and a few Cliff Swallows.
Chimney Swifts were in the mix as well. A decent variety and number of
ducks remain. Other highlights included a Sandhill Crane,
Pine and Yellow -rump Warblers (Yellow and Palm were also reported), and
3 Bald Eagles.
It was a great day to be out in some spring-like weather.
See you on the trails,
Chris Pierce
