Today the Snow Geese at Cowan Lake (Beth Mitchell counted 190) were back. This afternoon they were swimming at a distance beyond the swimming beach until something spooked them. They made a spectacular display in flight with the sun just right. After several minutes of circling they landed more towards the East end of the lake. The White-fronted were not with them but three showed up later. Other waterfowl seen included 2 Canvasbacks, Pintails, Mallards, Black Ducks and Ruddy Ducks.
Rick Asamoto and Shane Eggleston showed up after observing a White-winged Scoter and the Red-throated Loon at Caesar Creek.
Good Birding Day Cheers, Larry Gara
