My son, Jack Stenger, asked me to post this on his behalf. This morning, Friday March 30th, Jed Burtt and his Ohio Wesleyan ornithology class saw an American White Pelican at Delaware Wildlife Area. The bird was still present as of 1:00 p.m. on the main pond of the marsh in the southernmost section of the wildlife area, which is easily seen from Panhandle Rd. Delaware WA is located just north of the town of Delaware, on the east side of Delaware Reservoir (Ohio Atlas, page 58, A/B-1).
