This afternoon (Friday March 21rst) Claire Johnson thought she saw a woodcock by the new Walmart on Warrensville Center Rd between Cedar and Mayfield on the Cleveland Hts. - So. Euclid boundary. We went there tonight to listen and there was one peenting repeatedly and loudly for at least 10-15 minutes about 7:45. Clare thought she might of seen it fly up diagonally but was not sure. It was in a open area just to the north of Walmart. We parked on the edge of the parking lot to sit and listen. She has also seen a red headed woodpecker in the park area up the street to the west of the development.
