I have been watching on ebird and social media that 2 Eared Grebes have been reported at the Impoundment for over a week. I didn't see any posts on this listserv.
So today I decided to check it out. Yes, 2 Eared Grebes are being seen in Lorain at the Impoundment. They were seen from 7:30 am until I left at 9:30 am. Maybe this is not exciting but I have only seen Eared Grebes three other times in Ohio and they were single birds.
These birds are reasonably easy to locate and observe.
Thank mother nature that I follow ebird and all the social media sites or I would certainly be missing a great deal of birds.
