A couple friends and I went birding at Edison Woods Erie Co.
MetroPark yesterday morning. There were few birds but along with the
usual suspects (chickadees, titmouses, jays, nuthatches, robins), we
saw a flock of 6 Northern (Yellow-shafted) Flickers. Peterjohn (The
Birds of Ohio) says that most migrants are gone by 1 November but
some persist until 10-20 Nov.
