Good afternoon,

Unfortunately (or fortunately for the birds sake), almost all migrant
warblers and most other migrant birds are through, as Headlands Dunes SNP
in Lake County has seen a great reduction in species. This morning (May
30th) only warblers seen at Headlands were Common Yellowthroat, American
Redstart, Magnolia Warbler, Yellow Warbler and Canada Warbler. A surprise,
however, at Mentor Lagoons was a vocal Prothonotary Warbler. We presume
this was a late migrant though, as it was foraging and moving through the
forest quickly. Common Gallinules are still being observed at the lagoons
as well, plus occasionally a pair of Least Bitterns.
