Those interested in ornithology in general and in the birdlife of Lake
Erie will be saddened to learn that Alan Wormington passed away in
Ontario yesterday. He educated birders everywhere in the region, and
helped me in many ways to understand our birds, His intimate local
knowledge of Point Pelee--just a few miles across Lake Erie--helped us
to know better birds who care not in which country they spread their wings.
