Hi folks, The birds were pretty sparse this morning with spring migrants seen in single digits. I did see or hear the following new year birds for me: yellow warbler, northern parula, yellow throated warbler, white eyed vireo, virginia rail and american bittern. The last two birds were heard by the boardwalk. Other birders saw prothontary warbler and an eared grebe. The biggest movement by far were soras they were calling all over the marsh. Good luck birding, Dave Collopy Dayton,Ohio
