Dan Sanders and I arrived at Hoover Reservoir (Franklin County) about 11:00 and looked for the reported White Pelican for about 75 minutes. We went to Oxbow, the boardwalk and Weise Rd. We also made a few other quick stops. We did not relocate the bird. But, it might still be back!!
At the boardwalk we had over 100 Tree Swallows, a few Northern Rough-winged Swallows and one or two Barn Swallows! We observed one Osprey on the nest at the end of the boardwalk. She looked like she was settled right in - maybe on eggs already???
