I got a late (10:30) start at Headlands Beach SP this
morning. It was very slow - a single Pine was the
only warbler seen (no Yellow-rumps!). A Blue-headed
Vireo was also present, along with ~50 Caspian Terns
and 6 thrashers.
At West Creek Reservation, 10 Broad-wings were
kettling over the parking lot, mere specks in the sky.
I was hopeful for more movement, but that was about
it - no more Broad-wings were seen and only vultures
were moving, in a westerly direction. A migrant LA
Waterthrush was present (they don't breed here), along
with plenty of Yellow-rumps and expected migrants.
Good birding -
Gabe Leidy
