Blackbrook Audubon Society does IBA bird walks at Lake Metroparks Beaty
Landing every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month starting at 8 am, and on the
3rd Wednesday starting at 7 pm. They had their 4th Sunday bird walk this
morning. A group of 6 of us found 42 species on the 2 hour walk. There
were four species of warblers seen on the trail, with Blue-winged being
the best. The highlights of this morning's walk follow;
Osprey
Great Crested Flycatcher
Warbling Vireo
a family of 4 Carolina Wrens
Rose-breasted Grosbeak
Baltimore Oriole
Warblers:
Black-and-white Warbler 3
American Redstart 2
Yellow Warbler 1
Blue-winged Warbler 1
I have recently moved to a new house in Kirtland, just last Thursday, and
today my family went back to my house in Madison to clean. In the yard, I
found 2 Nashville Warblers. My new yard list so far at my house in
Kirtland, which is at the intersection of Booth and Eagle rd, is at 25
species so far.
Good Birding,
