I had to be at Easton in the AM on business but high-tailed it to Blendon Woods as soon as I could get away around 11. Picked up FOS Palm, Pine, Blackburnian, Rose-breasted Grosbeak, Warbling Vireo & Chimney Swift.
Other warblers there: Blk-thr Green, Yellow-rumped & B&W. After enjoying a male turkey strut his stuff I headed to Hoover & walked the trail by galena where I added FOS Prothonotary, Summer Tanager & Baltimore Oriole. Not bad for mid-day. Great looks at Red-headed WPs plus spring wildflowers. Also had Yellow-throated warbler & singing N Parula.
On the way home I stopped at Chestnut Ridge. FOS Wood Thrush (heard only), Hooded Warbler. Nice looks at a Blue-throated Vireo, too. Heard White-eyed Vireo also.
Also picked up a life BF: Zebra Swallowtail--gorgeous.
Great day to be out.
