Linda Johnson called me late this afternoon to report 2 swans on Lower Lake. I walked over and got a good view of them, quite close. One has a yellow collar with D44 on it and the other has a white collar with no markings at all. "Yellow collar" also has a leg bracelet on right leg.
"White collar" was sleeping almost the whole time I watched and I didn't see its legs. The bills are all black and seemed to be trumpeters to me. I'm willing to be proven wrong, though. I do not digiscope, so no photos. They appear to be settling in for the night, though.
